This is The Long Haul, a look at some of the Long Covid stories we have heard

In the last two years, The Long Haul, an online series on Long Covid, has looked into what Long Covid is and what it means for patients and their loved ones to live with it.

Through the journeys and experiences of Long Haulers we have heard time and again why acknowledging the long term effects of COVID-19 is important for any society. Only then can the necessary research and support take place. The Long Haul combines two things: the emotional side of a disease that has more questions than answers and the science side that looks at what we currently know about the disease and what is being done to treat it.

The storytelling element was created in a way that no matter who hears the stories, whether they are familiar with Long Covid or not, everyone can relate to it. For someone may not know anyone that suffers from Long Covid, but everyone can relate to loving someone that is or has been sick.

Through storytelling, Laura Maria Caldarone tells the stories of the patients by interviewing them and their loved ones. Dr Jeremy Rossman, through interviewing doctors and scientists, brings the latest on Long Covid research, possible treatment options and rehabilitation.

These are the stories of some of the Long Haulers fighting for recovery and the scientists looking for answers.
